The Free School will take place in Sage Hall on the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh campus (835 High Ave.)

Where do I park?

Parking at UWO is free on Saturdays! But we encourage you to take the bus, bike, or walk if you’re able.

Do I need to register?

Not in advance, just come to the registration table in the front lobby to see the schedule of events.

When is lunch and what will be served?

Lunch will be served on the first floor at 12 p.m.

What is being offered besides workshops?

In addition to the workshops, we will offer a room for creative expression using art supplies and an exhibit room with tables featuring literature and information from local organizations.

I have special needs. Who do I talk to?

We want to accommodate everyone as much as we can. We can tell you that Sage Hall is wheelchair accessible, and that the free lunch that will be offered will cater to as many dietary needs as possible (vegan and gluten free). If you have concerns beyond that, please contact Kaylen (severk40@uwosh.edu) to discuss your needs.

When people ask me what the free school is, what should I say?

First, say it’s going to be wonderful and they should attend! Then, explain that education about environmental, social, and economic sustainability will be offered. And we’re making it free because we believe that such knowledge should be available to everyone.

How are you paying for this awesome event?

The UWO Green Fund (https://www.uwosh.edu/sustainability/green-fund) has been gracious enough to offer financial support!
